About the Artist

My journey with oil painting started back in 1995. I began with a strong foundation in drawing and a deep desire to paint, but no formal training. Instead, I taught myself. I started with abstract pieces—it felt like the perfect, low-pressure way to figure out how oil paints worked.

From there, I challenged myself to move into figurative work, using old photographs and magazines as my guides. I love the learning process, and I don't think that will ever stop. Over the years, I've been lucky enough to share my work in a few shows, paint various still lifes, and bring custom pet and human portraits to life for my clients.
